Martin Lewis explains how Britons could get £125 in free cash in time for Christmas – Express

by MoneySaverExpert

Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert, is well-known for helping Britons out with a range of queries, and equipping them with the tools to cut costs. He has also drawn attention to new deals which could see households save money, or even in some cases, gain it. And with the ongoing financial impact of the COVID-19 crisis, the update Martin drew Britons’ attention to on his ITV Money Show is likely to be a real help.

A similar account which is offering a speedy payment for a switch is Club Lloyds, sending money to Britons by approximately November 2.

The free £100 cash reward is accompanied by additional freebies, which, Martin highlighted, can include 12 movie rentals and other perks.

The minimum pay-in per month for this account stands at £1,500 for savers.

However, for people who may not be in such a rush to switch, there are also other options which provide cash slightly after Christmas.

These options will be perfect for those looking for extra money to enter 2021 with.

Martin explained the RBS Reward Account is offering a £100 switch reward, with money expected to arrive by January 29, 2021.

The minimum pay-in monthly is £1,250, but an additional perk of the account is £3 a month cashback, which can really add up.

Finally, the NatWest Reward account is also offering a competitive free £125 for customers who switch.

This account also offers £3 a month in cashback, and has a similar monthly pay in of £1,250.

Britons can expect this cash to arrive by February 12, 2021 – providing an extra boost in the new year.

But for those concerned about the minimum monthly pay-ins, Martin provided more information.

He added: “It’s just a way of saying put your salary in.

“But if you get paid less, then put what you put in, take some out, put it back in until you get over that minimum pay-in and that normally counts.

“With all of these you do need to fully switch, and they do have some eligibility criteria, so have a read before you press the apply button.

“If you’re not that enamoured by your bank account why not just get paid and get a bit of cash just to help you out with Christmas by switching?”
