It may feel like school just broke for summer but with spiral costs in all directions, it might already be time to look for a deal on uniforms for next year. The good news is that many supermarkets and stores are offering special deals on school clothes before the traditional back-to-school shopping frenzy.
Money-saver Martin Lewis and his team have found the best of these deals to make it easier for parents who really aren’t looking forward to the cost of their kids going back to school to cut spending. On moneysavingexpert.com, they have listed all the different school uniform deals available.
This includes a deal from Aldi which will get a kid kitted out for just £5 by the website warns it is worth getting in on the deal while stocks last. Some deals also only last for a limited time some it’s worth acting sooner rather than later.

There are a few things to consider when thinking about which uniform to buy. Some schools are much stricter than others about where parents can get uniforms from with certain suppliers licenced to sell certain schools attire.
However, if the school is more relaxed, a deal from Aldi or Lidl seems like a slam dunk. Money Saving Expert says: “f your school isn’t too strict on buying official uniform from specialist suppliers, then supermarkets are nearly always the cheapest place to buy new school uniform. Prices for a full set (polo shirts, sweatshirt, and skirt or trousers) cost from as little as £5 at certain times of year at Aldi and Lidl – July until September is one of the cheapest times to buy uniform.”
“Other major supermarkets such as Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s offer sets year-round from under £10, and some high street retailers such as M&S and John Lewis offer uniform sets for under £22.”

Aldi
Available online and in stores but uniforms go quick.
If you go online to Aldi*, you can get a full school uniform for £5. Standard delivery’s £2.95, or free if you’re spending over £30. The school uniforms will also be available to buy in-store ( find your nearest* ). Prices stay the same regardless of size.

You can get school uniform items (ages 3-16) from £2.50 at Tesco, in store only ( find your nearest* ). As the uniform is only sold in stores, it’s not possible to check stock levels online. Some items may be running low in stock, so there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to get what you’re after.

You can get school uniform items (ages 2-16) from £3 at Asda*, both online and in stores. If you’re buying online, standard delivery’s £2.95. Click and collect from a store ( find your nearest* ) is free. Stock for the cheapest items is starting to run very low, so there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to get what you’re after.
What can you get?
Prices change depending on size and sizes can be sold out online. If George at Asda doesn’t have the size you need available to order, try visiting a store instead. Alternatively, there are other similar items available online, but you may pay more for them.
Morrisons
Available online and in stores and the deal is ongoing
You can get school uniform items (ages 3-13) from £2.50 at Morrisons*, both in stores and online. If you’re buying online, standard delivery’s £2.97. Stock is beginning to run low in some of the cheapest items, so there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to get what you’re after.

20% off online or in-store until Mondy July 25
No voucher is needed, the 20% is automatically applied. Delivery’s £3.50 or free if you’re spending over £50.

Prices change depending on size. M&S told us a full uniform (based on a three pack of polo shirts, two pack of trousers or skirts and two pack of jumpers or cardigans) would usually cost £30 on average, so with the 20% discount this is a saving of £6.
The offer excludes footwear, underwear, outerwear, hosiery, accessories, school bags and lunch boxes.
